In The Garden

Lyrics and Music: C. Austin Miles

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

    Just wanted to let you know what a blessing your site has been to my whole family during the past several weeks. My mom and sister listen to your music as they work in the kitchen; my dad enjoys listening to it from his office; my brother puts it on to help him relax at the end of a busy day; and I turn it on almost every morning while I answer e-mails. Thank you very much for posting the words and such nice renditions of these great hymns!

    Thank you so very much for using the talent the lord has given you to bless others and offer praise to Him. It is great hearing hymns we know and can sing along with and learning new ones “from you.” Thank you for your ministry. Holly
